Accessibility statement

Compliance status

This site is not compliant with RGAA 4.1.2 (French accessibility framework).

The site was designed and developed by applying the RGAA criteria, but no full audit (the 106-criterion checklist applied to a sample of pages) has been carried out yet. In that case, the RGAA requires the status “not compliant”, which will be updated once the audit is complete.

Measures in place

• Keyboard navigation on every page, visible focus, “Skip to content” link.
• Contrast checked: text ≥ 4.5:1, large text and interface components ≥ 3:1, in both dark and light themes.
• Every chart comes with an accessible data table (“Show chart data” button).
• Data tables with a title (caption) and headers associated with their cells.
• Glossary tooltips shown on hover and on focus, hoverable, and dismissible with the Escape key.
• No new windows are opened; links and buttons have explicit labels.
• Page language declared (English); titles and excerpts in French are marked (lang="fr").
• The system “reduce motion” setting is respected; text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content.
• Layout adapts down to 320 px wide without horizontal scrolling (except wide tables, which can be scrolled with the keyboard).

Known inaccessible content

• Links to external sites (arXiv, manufacturers, statistical bodies) lead to content whose accessibility does not depend on this site.
• Interactive charts cannot be explored point by point with a screen reader: their data is provided as a table just below.

HTML5, CSS (Tailwind), JavaScript (React / Next.js), SVG, WAI-ARIA.

Test environment

• Chromium (latest version) with axe-core 4: automated tests on every page, dark and light themes
• Keyboard-only navigation
• Manual review of contrast, heading structure and text alternatives
